Hey you,
First of all I am very glad you have found my website. My name is Iza van den Baar. I just graduated in Fashion Design at the HKU School of Arts. I am born and raised in Rotterdam, the city that breathes culture, diversity and creativity.
My passion for fashion started at a very young age and I just knew I would make it a reality somewhere in life. Before I went to study fashion, I studied journalism. Although I really enjoy writing and communicating through different media, I felt like I couldn't let my creativity flow. Writing was too one-dimensional for me and I cared more about visual aspects. I decided to follow my heart and pursue my dream of becoming a fashion designer.

During my years at the art academy, I found that my projects always carried a strong sense of social urgency. Being socially engaged, the choices I make in my work and life will always reflect my deep concern for our planet. As I transition from being an art student to a professional, I now position myself in a specific field. Besides naming myself a fashion designer, I also identify as a visual storyteller and social designer.
